Week 11 Waiver Wire

Week 10 is in the books and it left us with more injuries and more players we want to try and scoop up in deeper leagues.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB

Stevenson posted a monster game against Cleveland in the absence of starter Damien Harris, and not only were his numbers impressive, but he passed the “eye test” with flying colors as well. Stevenson is certainly the powerful runner that New England as been missing since Legarrette Blount was in town, and even once Harris is back (likely this week) from his concussion, Stevenson seems to have earned an expanded role. This role could very well include the goal line work in the future as well, as he punched in a couple short yardage TDs this week where he looked very comfortable walking through defenders.

Week 10 stats: 25.4 points (20 carries 100 yards 2 TDs 5 targets 4 catches 14 yards)

FAAB Bid: $9 – $17

Rashod Bateman, WR

I think all of the TSF boys have made ourselves very clear, but at 50% ownership I wanted to reiterate… add Bateman to your damn team now. He’s trending up, and even in this week’s game where the Ravens couldn’t get anything going against MIA, Bateman managed to post double digit fantasy points. The guy is on the verge of breaking out, get out in front of it.

Week 10 stats: 11 points (6 catches 8 targets 80 yards)

FAAB Bid: $8 – $12

Cam Newton, QB

Cam is back, baby! Alright not really, but he looked good in his return to the Panthers, and this was only after a couple days on the team before a game. He threw for a TD and rushed for another, as the Panthers gave Arizona the business en route to a 34-10 beatdown. Now he pulls a matchup with Washington in Week 11, where he will likely be the sole starter (not PJ Walker), but Washington just made Tom Brady look silly in Week 10 so I would temper my expectations of Cam in this one. However, he’s worth an add if you’re in a QB-needy spot or if you’re in 2QB leagues.

Week 10 stats: 11.72 points (3 completions 4 attempts 8 yards 1 TD 3 carries 14 yards 1 TD)

FAAB Bid: $2 – $6

Robby Anderson, WR

I don’t even have to look to know that Scott put this name on our list of pickups this week… and for good reason! New QB in town (well, a couple new QBs really) and Anderson has his best game since Week 1 of the season. He was visibly perturbed with Sam Darnold last week and Rhule made mention that they needed to get Robby more involved, and it seems like somewhere in that mess something clicked. Now 4 catches on 6 targets and 37 yards and a TD isn’t something I’m scrambling to dump all my FAAB on, but it’s an encouraging sign for the future and makes him worth a stash add. Also, since Tom likes to mention this, snap % means nothing… Week 9 Anderson 92% snap count yielded 0.70 FPS, in Week 10 a 68% snap share returned 11.70 FPS. Take that math nerds!

Week 10 stats: 11.7 points (4 catches 6 targets 37 yards 1 TD)

FAAB Bid: $2 – $4

Wayne Gallman, WR

Patterson is out for at least Week 11, and it could be multiple weeks before he returns. Gallman was the one who saw work when Patterson left, not Mike Davis. He has a hard matchup against the Pats on a short week, but he could be a decent stash to see exactly how the Falcons will use him if Patterson is due to miss some time.

Week 10 stats: 8.1 points (15 carries 55 yards 1 catch 2 targets 21 yards)

FAAB Bid: $1 – $4

D’onta Foreman, RB

It has been hard to watch the Titans running game since Henry went down, but it appears that Foreman is the one they plan to use the most. It may not be the greatest add, but a guy who is going to get double digit carries for you should be rostered in some formats. AP and McNichols can now be dropped while Foreman deserves to be added.

Week 10 stats: 8.8 points (11 carries 30 yards 2 catches 2 targets 48 yards)

Marcus Johnson, WR

WIth Julio headed to IR and Josh Reynolds headed out of town, someone other than AJB was going to have to step up for TEN. Insert Marcus Johnson. The career journeyman WR popped for 5 catched on 6 targets and 100 yards, netting you 12.50 fantasy points. We saw him play an effective role for the Colts in the past, and he looks poised to contribute for the Titans for the foreseeable future. He’s still only in flex play consideration for now, but his ceiling could be higher any given week.

Week 10 stats: 12.5 points (5 catches 6 targets 100 yards)

FAAB Bid: $1 – $2

Tyler Conklin, TE

Conklin has quietly been a solid TE play all season, and as of late he is scoring more than 7 points in the last 4 weeks. In Week 10, he popped for 14.60 FPS, on the back of 2 TDs. This season, he has been doing his damage via yardage, not TDs, and this week he flipped the script scoring 2 TDs with only 11 yards. It’s sort of a catch-22, where it seems if he’s getting yardage he’s not scoring and vice versa, but it’s probably more likely that he puts a game together soon where he does both. If that’s the case, he has major upside, and for a TE only 30% owned, that upside puts him at the top of your streaming options, if you’re one of those teams who have decided to stream TEs all year.

Week 10 stats: 14.6 points (5 targets 3 catches 11 yards 2 TDs)

Dan Arnold, TE

As we always say, the TE is a bad QB’s best friend. Conveniently, they are also a rookie QB’s best friend. And with Trevor Lawrence’s season thus far… he is both. So while other pass catchers (Marvin Jones, Laviska, etc) continue to struggle, we should see Lawrence continue to check down to his safety blanket Dan Arnold more and more. He is a volume TE right now, but as long as the targets are there he should have a safe floor.
