Week 10 Waiver Wire

Its gut check time, it’s time to evaluate your roster and cut underperforming players and try to find some hidden gems. The waivers in Week 10 are very very slim however its a starting point to turn your season around. This is where you win you fantasy football leagues!

Elijah Moore, WR

Moore has seen his targets, snap share, and fantasy points increase over the last 3 weeks, and he finally found the endzone (twice) in Week 9. Part of this could be the favorable matchup with Indy, or the close to the line routes he tends to run, and the entrance of Johnson at QB in relief of the other backup Mike White… but however you dice it, Moore’s role is increasing and this is a good sign. You should make a bid on him now before he costs you more down the line.

Week 9 stats: 23.9 points (7 catches 8 targets 84 yards 2 TDs)

FAAB Bid: $5 – $12

Jordan Howard, RB

I unequivocally hate that this is the point we’ve come to with the Eagles, but Jordan Howard has now posted back to back solid outings, scored in consecutive weeks, and hit the double digit fantasy threshold in both contests. He is out-touching Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell by a healthy margin, and he appears to be the back to own in Philly at the present moment. Trust me, I’m just as sick writing this as you are reading it, but the stats can’t be ignored. He is worthy of an add as a flex play with RB2 upside.

Week 9 stats: 13.1 points (17 rushes 71 yards 1 TD)

FAAB Bid: $4 – $11

Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR

OBJ leaves and DPJ slots right in. His outing was buoyed by a long TD, but he appears to be on the same page as Baker Mayfield, and that’s exactly what you want to see. The Browns had a good lead over Cincy so they didn’t need to throw the ball a ton (only 24 attempts for Baker), but in games where the game script is more favorable, DPJ should see even more looks come his way.

Week 9 stats: 15.6 points (2 catches 3 targets 86 yards 1 TD)

FAAB Bid: $4 – $9

Devonta Freeman, RB

Lat Murray missed another game, making it three in a row, so Freeman was called upon as the lead back yet again. He now has three games in a row with over 11 fantasy points and can be used as a flex play until Lat comes back. This one is tougher because we will not know if Lat returns in Week 10 or not, but in case he is still out, Freeman will continue to be the lead back and give you a safe floor.

Week 9 stats: 15.3 points (13 carries 79 yards 3 targets 2 catches 4 yards)

FAAB Bid: $3 – $8

Eno Benjamin, RB

Chase Edmonds left the game in Week 9 with a high ankle sprain and is likely going on the short-term IR. With that, James Conner is a must start in every format going forward, but Eno Benjamin should see an expanded role. He rushed the ball 9 times for 39 yards last week and scored his first TD of the season. He may be a better wait and see player, but at the very least, he is a nice handcuff, especially if you are a Conner owner.

Week 9 stats: 9.9 points (9 carries 39 yards 1 TD)

FAAB Bid: $2 – $5

D’Onta Foreman, RB

While AP and McNichols were the hot adds a week ago when Henry went down, D’Onta Foreman was likely forgotten about by most fantasy owners. He didn’t have quite as many touches as AP and McNichols, but he was still involved and looks to have some pop, ripping off carries at a 5.8 YPC clip. He’s not a world beater, but in the event of another injury to that backfield, his role could grow even larger.

Week 9 stats: 2.9 points (5 carries 29 yards)

FAAB Bid: $1 – $3

Mac Jones, QB

This is more of a vote of confidence for the future, and if you need a QB for bye week fill ins or injury replacement. But Jones, despite not lighting the world on fire in fantasy, he has been steadily building from an NFL perspective and has 3 very favorable matchups coming up (CLE, ATL, TEN). I would be happy to start him in all three of these games and expect him to return you 20+ points. If you’re scrapping through byes, he could be a nice cheap plug in with big upside.
