The Fantasy Trade Block Big Board

Let’s get into the Trade Block Big Board! Week to week there are many players on the move, some you know are trade candidates and some you don’t. We’re here to make sure you can capitalize at all times and know who’s on the move and how to get them. We pull the data from major fantasy platforms so you know the real big board. Below are the top 10 players on the block for this week, #1 will surprise you.

While most find Fantasy Football to be centered around Draft Day and its festivities, the art of the trade is where the men and women are separated from the boys and girls. Few winning trades are now accepted with just the click of the button, you must be knowledgeable about the players involved and find a weakness in your opposition to successfully profit off of a deal. A man’s opinion is grounded and is set in nature, so don’t expect to convince your trade partner to see a player differently than they do. Listen to what your trade partner is saying about their players and see if there is a possible door to unlock. Ladies and gentlemen, this is politics, and sometimes the only way through is painful compromise. You may need to have a shutdown of negotiations for a short period of time and restart another week, but have patience and do not force a trade that had no chance from the start, you don’t want to alienate yourself and burn bridges. Always keep a line open and respect your fellow managers, but be ready to strike a deal if it benefits your team.

#10

Cordarrelle Patterson, RB/WR, Atlanta Falcons // Overall Rank: 41 // Position Rank:  RB 11

Season so far: The surprise of the year and it isn’t even close, Patterson is RB11 on the year and can also be used at the WR position. He has 7 TDs and 601 all-purpose yards on 96 touches on the season. He has a tough slate for the rest of the year facing Carolina, New Orleans, and Buffalo championship week.

Why Sell?: Patterson will net you a large package in return or help get a stud. His bye week is behind him so he holds even more value, and his ROS matchups do not look great.

Why Buy?: Patterson has been on a tear and looks to be one of the focal points of the Atlanta offense. The Falcons also are without Calvin Ridley, which should add more volume to Patterson.

Chase Edmonds, James Conner news: Cardinals RBs performance in Week 2 of 2021 NFL preseason - DraftKings Nation

Chase Edmonds, RB, Arizona Cardinals // Overall Rank: 91 // Position Rank: RB 20

Season so far: Chase Edmonds might be returning exactly what you thought he would when you drafted him, yet you are always left wanting more. He has rushed for 427 yards on 75 attempts only scoring once and added 211 yards through the air on 30 receptions. He averages 10.35 fantasy points a week and is a solid RB2/FLEX. His ROS schedule is fairly average with some good and bad matchups sprinkled in.

Why Sell?: The results have been good the last two games scoring 9.5 and 14.4 fantasy points after 2.9 in Week 5 and 6.5 in Week 6, so there might be some people trying to capitalize on the last two positive weeks. He still has to deal with James Conner vulturing his TD’s and capping his ceiling.

Why Buy?: He scored his lone rushing TD last week and people might be expecting more of a turnaround, and while you shouldn’t expect injuries to happen many probably still think James Conner will go down at any moment (I do.)

With Dalvin Cook, run-first formula paying off for Vikings – Twin Cities

Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings // Overall Rank: 107 // Position Rank:  RB 52

Season so far: Awful… Largely due to injury from Weeks 3 to 5, you cannot be happy with the output from Cook so far, as he was an early 1st round draft pick. He has rushed for 444 yards on 98 rushing attempts with 2 TDs, also adding 73 receiving yards on 12 receptions. There have been some positive takeaways from his season like Cook’s 3 weeks over 15 fantasy points and two RB1 finishes out of 5 games played.

Why Sell?: You might be frustrated with his up and down production, you might be selling based off his name and getting a more consistent player, or getting depth in return. For whatever the reason he is being sold, Cook will still make solid contributions to a team and it may save some years on your life.

Why Buy?: I say this a lot, but at this moment you can buy Dalvin Cook Simply because he is buyable. It is not often players of his caliber are available and if you have the players to package for a stud like Cook, more often than not you blindly pull the trigger and rosterbate as necessary.

#7

Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Football Team // Overall Rank: 68 // Position Rank: RB 19

Season so far: Antonio Gibson had a great start to the season, scoring as an RB2 or higher in 4 of the first 5 games, but then the nasty shin injury happened. He has gone under 7 fantasy points in each of the last 3 games and his snap percentage plummeted to all time lows, averaging 38% in that timespan. He has 4 touchdowns on 128 touches and 586 all-purpose yards on the season. He is on his bye this week and he has Philly twice and Dallas once in the Fantasy playoffs.

Why Sell?: I personally think the time to sell has passed as now he would be sold for pennies as opposed to what he was worth 3 weeks ago, but if you need a healthy back, go to the teams with good records and see what you can get. They have the ability to hold a player like Gibson until he is fully healthy.

Why Buy?: Like I said above, he can be bought at a discount and. Outside of that, there isn’t much promise and I would advise you to stay away until further notice.

Patriots get back to bully ball behind Damien Harris

Damien Harris, RB, New England Patriots // Overall Rank: 52 // Position Rank: RB 14

Season so far: Damien Harris is breaking out in a big way. He is the top running back out of New England and has averaged 18.5 fantasy points per game the last 3 weeks. He has 517 rushing yards on 118 attempts scoring 6 TDs on the ground with 60 yards on 10 receptions through the air. He has a tough schedule coming up, 6 of the top ten rush defenses in the league and slots in with a Week 14 bye.

Why Sell?: This is the definition of a sell high ladies and gentleman, the player is thriving and he may be at peak value. He has probably the toughest schedule coming up and has an unfavorable bye week in Week 14.

Why Buy?: It has been clear the last 3 weeks Harris is the focal point to the Patriots offense, getting a player who averages 19 touches a game like he has in the last 3 weeks is tough to come by.

Fantasy Football: Hot pickup Elijah Mitchell leads fades

Eli Mitchell, RB, San Francisco 49ers // Overall Rank: 99 // Position Rank: RB 22

Season so far: If you have Eli Mitchell on your team you are certainly happy as he was either picked up on waivers or drafted late as a dart throw. He stole the job from Trey Sermon in the off-season and never looked back. He really is impressive in the 49ers offense. He has 3 100 yard rushing performances, which lands him at the end of RB1 finishes and a total of 463 all-purpose yards on 85 touches with 3 TDs in 5 games this season

Why Sell? You might think, why sell a good thing, but his time may be running out with Jeff Wilson soon breathing down his neck. You will get a great return on investment as you basically invested nothing having him on your team. He also has a rib injury right now, and while he is not expected to miss time, as learned from Trey Sermon, no job is promised in the 49ers backfield.

Why Buy? He has shown talent and the team has put their full trust in him, while sometimes it is a negative to have a 49ers running back, it is known they all produce at a high level when getting touches. The 49ers have had one of the best rushing schemes in all of football the last 3 seasons.

#4

Nick Chubb is back!

Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns // Overall Rank: 58 // Position Rank:  RB 16

Season so far: Outside of the 2 weeks he didn’t play due to injury, you should be more than pleased with Chubb’s performance so far. He has 3 RB 1 finishes and has gone over 83 yards in every game but 1. He has 584 rushing yards on 106 attempts scoring 4 TDs, and as expected, has done little in the passing game with 43 receiving yards on 4 catches. He has bye week 13 and a more than favorable ROS SOS as he faces 4 bottom 10 rushing defenses in the next 6 games.

Why Sell?: This one I’m not so sure I can answer, but it must have something to do with his very high price tag. He will return a bag of riches and sometimes teams need depth.

Why Buy?: Why not? His partner in crime Kareem Hunt is still on the IR, his ROS SOS is salivating, oh and the team’s “top” pass catcher (Odell Beckham Jr.) was released possibly resulting in more attempts for Chubb, who is the lead back in one of the league’s best rushing attacks.

#3

Josh Jacobs, RB, Las Vegas Raiders // Overall Rank: 110 // Position Rank:  RB 26

Season so far: Jacobs has dealt with injuries all season including leaving Week 7’s game before half due to a rib injury. He has produced well while on the field, as he’s turned in 4 RB2 finishes and 1 RB3 finish in 5 games. He is past his bye week and has an easier strength of schedule up until his playoff matchups, where it gets tough against Cleveland, Denver, and Indianapolis.

Why Sell ?: He is on the back of 3 14 point performances, but he also got injured again. You probably want a back with more healthy tendencies.

Why Buy?: It’s almost like Jacobs’ season keeps restarting each week. There’s something new going on with the Raiders weekly, but Jacobs is the lead back in a run heavy offense.

DeAndre Hopkins Discusses Photo of Him Flipping off Pro-Donald Trump Caravan | Bleacher Report | Latest News, Videos and Highlights

DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Arizona Cardinals // Overall Rank: 51 // Position Rank:  WR 10

Season so far: Well he’s WR10 and thriving with Kyler Murray so I’d say it’s going well, but there have been hiccups. He has 3 WR 1 performances, 2 WR2 performances, and 3 WR4+ performances. He has 35 receptions, 486 yards and 7 TDs through 8 games. He is on a bye in Week 12 and has an extremely favorable playoff schedule playing the Lions, Colts, and Cowboys.

Why Sell?: He is currently dealing with a hamstring injury along with Murray having an ankle injury, and this may have you worried things are falling apart. To add to that, he only caught 2 passes last week.

Why Buy?: You might be getting Hopkins at a discount, he is on one of the best offenses in football right now, and he has one of the best playoff schedules I have seen so far.

The best to ever do it? 20 stats that show how Travis Kelce is one of the best players ever to play the TE position | NFL News, Rankings and Statistics | PFF

Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs // Overall Rank: 69 // Position Rank: TE 1

Season so far: If you had guessed Travis Kelce was the player traded most across all of Fantasy Football, than that would be because you went out and traded for him. He is buyable right now after the struggles the Chiefs have endured the past few weeks. Kelce is at 49 receptions on 72 targets, 560 yards and 4 TDs, which is the TE1, but he is on pace for a much worse year than last year’s performance. He has his bye in Week 12, and is matchup proof so his schedule does not matter.

Why Sell?: Selling a player like Kelce is a foundational change to your fantasy lineups as you will most likely be streaming at TE the rest of the year, like the rest of us. You will always get a big haul and right now you might want to jump ship before the Chiefs continue to let down.

Why Buy?: If you don’t consider trying to get the top TE at some point in the season due to frustrations at your TE slot, than you haven’t been playing the same season I have. Everyone wants a set it and forget it TE and none are better than Kelce, and as I’ve said he’s buyable. If he goes off for even just 20 points this week, the managers holding him will grip even tighter. Now is the time if you were ever going to trade for him.
