JD McKissic – Washington Football Team vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay has an elite defense, this much is true and I won’t argue it, but I will make the caveat that their Front 7 is elite while their secondary is woefully lacking. And this is where McKissic can succeed. Antonio Gibson, if he’s healthy and can play, will likely eat the majority of the work between the tackles, while JD will handle the receiving work and the outside runs, which he has done with great success since joining Washington. I look for more of the same, and as Scott noted on the podcast this week, there is a chance WFT shuts Gibson down entirely once this game is out of hand, leaving McKissic to do the lion’s share of the running and receiving out of the backfield. I like his odds to snag a TD this week, but I also think in half- or full-PPR formats, McKissic has tremendous upside.
