Under The Radar Fantasy Winners

Last year I did an article of league winners after the fantasy playoffs and it was shocking which players were league winners. Of course there were the obvious ones like Devante Adams, Josh Allen, Copper Kupp, and Travis Kelce, but there were some shocking players who helped you win your leagues. A few shocking players last year were Amon-Ra St. Brown, Rashaad Penny, Sony Michel, Devin Singletary, and Joe Burrow. We are trying to predict some low key guys this year who could help you win you championship.

Jameson Williams (DET-WR)

This one is risky because even going in to Week 13, Williams still may not be active. I still want to stash him if I am a top team in my league because if he does play, he really could be this year’s Amon-Ra St. Brown to end the fantasy season. People forget that Williams was arguably the best WR in this draft class, but he fell in the draft because of his injury. The Lions have the 4th easiest schedule going forward for their WRs and although we think Detroit may not be in the playoff chase, we know that Dan Campbell and the team will never quit and if there is a chance Williams can play, he will play. Again, if you are a team who can afford a bench stash, there may be no one better than Williams.

Kyren Williams (LAR-RB)

My dart throw of the year! Well, that did not pan out because he was hurt before the season started, but we know the Rams were excited to use him before he got hurt. This team is a mess and we may not see Stafford or Kupp play again this season. We have seen Cam Akers play and it has not been great and they also cut Darrell Henderson, so why not see what you have in the rookie going forward. The Rams have a very easy schedule going forward for RBs and Williams is the guy in the passing game. Akers is not someone the Rams want to roll with in 2023, so I could see Williams being that dark horse RB that could be atop 10 RB in the fantasy playoffs.

Christian Watson (GB-WR)

Now you may think this is an easy call, but we are talking a guy who could be a top 5-10 WR in the fantasy playoffs and that is a guy I want to start every week going forward. He is not available in most leagues, but if you did get him then you should feel great about it. Aaron Rodgers loves the guy and he has 5 total TDs the last 3 weeks. Again, the point of this article is guys who have easy schedules who can win you a championship. The best thing about Watson is that we saw Love come in in Week 12 when Rodgers was hurt and Watson still had a massive game. No matter who is under center (rather Rodgers of course), it does not seem to matter,

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF-QB)

Right off the bat, no, I did not pick this player because he is the most attractive player in the NFL. I picked him because he has the easiest schedule for any QB going forward heading in to fantasy playoffs. The Niners are rolling and they just lost Eli Mitchell for the remainder of the fantasy season. The Niners were leaning heavy on the run with Mitchell and CMC, but with Mitchell out and now CMC having knee issues, you could see the team lean on the passing game a little more. They need to keep CMC healthy going in to NFL playoffs, so it makes sense for the passing game to improve even more. This is a guy who is not viewed as a QB1, but he could be a QB1 in fantasy playoffs.

THE WRAP UP

Those are just a few players I like during the fantasy playoffs who are under the radar. A few other guys I like are Jordan Mason, Michael Carter, Jaylen Warren, Greg Dulcich, and Gerald Everett. We see it every year; a few guys who are league winners that shock us. Do not be surprised if a few of these guys make that list at the end of the season.
