Claypool had a big game last week, no doubt. But I don’t think he does it again versus Miami in Week 7. He did almost all of his damage once Pickett exited the game with a concussion, and Mitch Trubisky came in and focused on anyone not named Diontae Johnson. If Mitch is under center, I would understand the people starting Claypool a little more, but most reports are indicating that Tomlin expects Pickett back by Sunday and that he is expected to start, which is bad news for Claypool and better news for Diontae Johnson and the other pass catchers. Finally, there are rumors swirling that Claypool is being shopped and the Packers are interested, so the Steelers may hope to rest Claypool as much as possible, rather than lose a solid trade asset to injury.
