2024 Sleepers

Joshua Palmer, WR

I am picking two players from the same team as my Sleepers for the 2024 season, so at least one has to hit right?? The concern for the Chargers this season is that they want to run the ball more with the new coaching staff. The thing is, this team is not going to be a top half team in the NFL, so in most cases, they will have to throw to stay in most games. Palmer had to sit behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams ever since he came into the league, but he now has a massive opportunity to eat up those vacated targets. Everyone is focused on the rookie Ladd McConkley, and I get it because I am as well, but with so many vacated targets, two WRs should be able to eat up a lot of those. Palmer also has played with Hebrert the last three seasons, so that connection will only grow. Let us not forget this is his fourth year in the NFL. Can people stop telling me this guy is ‘old’? His WR55 ADP is too low in my mind and I expect him to crush that number.(Scott Miln)

D.J. Moore, WR

My thought process on this one is pretty simple, DJ Moore is very good at football, and his ADP says that he is not very good at football. Currently sitting at WR22 and overall pick 42 off the board, Moore is a guy who has WR1 upside every single year. I think people are a little concerned about competition for targets, given the additions of Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze this year (and to a lesser extent D’Andre Smith), but I would remind these people about what we have seen Moore put on the field consistently over the entire course of his career, despite poor QB play and a ton of attention from opposing teams. While WR22 might be around his average finish throughout his NFL tenure, for the first time in his career he will have someone to share the burden with. Not to mention, if Caleb Williams plays as advertised, DJ Moore may have the best QB he’s worked with since prime-era Cam Newton. For this one to hit, Moore will have to finish as a WR1, but I think he pulls it off this year. (Cory Dows)

Justin Herbert, QB

I will not waste too much time talking about the Chargers again, but long story short, the team will have to put the ball in air to keep up with most teams. Yes, the new coaching staff wants to lean on the run more in 2024 and have the defense be a big part of the team’s identity, but it will be almost impossible to keep the ball out of Justin Herbert’s hands. We cannot forget that Herbert is one of the best pure passers in the NFL and you think he will not throw for at least 4,000 yards, then there is something wrong with you. His weapons have gotten worse, but I feel that he is that great as a QB where he really will not miss a beat. His ADP is QB17 which is laughable. Yes, he finished as QB17 last season, but he also only played in 13 games. If Herbert plays a full season, he will be closer to that high QB2/low QB1 ranged. (Scott Miln)

T.J. Hockenson, TE

I know it’s frowned upon to take TEs in anything we do as a TSF group, but Hockenson is being criminally underrated right now. There are rumors swirling that he may even be ready to play Week 1 of the 2024 NFL campaign, and if this is the case, or even close to it, he will be a league winner and a felony level theft in your drafts vs. his current ADP of TE14 and pick 116 overall (Half PPR).(Cory Dows)
