2023 Dart Throws

Corey Davis, WR

My Dart Throw this season is Corey Davis. Now before you think to yourself how dumb this kid is, dart throws are supposed to be guys who will be undrafted mainly, but we are giving you some names to take in the last round of your drafts or to keep an eye on. I can talk about how well Davis did to start 2022, but it means nothing with Aaron Rodgers under center now. I have always believed that Davis is one of the hidden gem WRs in the NFL, and we saw that his last season with the Titans a few years back. Garrett Wilson is the clear number 1 WR on the Jets, and I do understand they brought in Lazard who has played with Rodgers for years. As much as I love Lazard, Corey Davis is just a better WR and he’s really never had a QB like Rodgers in the past. Rodgers is a guy who will get the ball to the best players, not just his old teammates, so do not be surprised if Davis outperforms Lazard this season. It is worth a dart throw at least. Khalil Shakir, WR

When in doubt, I pick players on high powered offenses who I expect to have the opportunity to score a lot. Shakir is just that. He showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie campaign, and the more time he spends with Josh Allen and getting familiar with the offense, the more I like his potential upside. This is a dead last round dart throw, and a guy who will almost certainly not make redraft rosters, but keep your eyes peeled for him early in the season, a big week or two and he’s a guy I would suggest you stash.
