2022 Dart Throws

Kyren Williams, RB

I love Dart Throws of the season because it is usually a guy that is not drafted, but if the opportunity arrives for them, they could hit. This year I am picking rookie RB Kyren Williams from the Rams. As of now, he is for sure behind Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson, so it will be almost impossible for him to get any action to start the season. The reason I like Williams is because the two backs I just named are some of the most injury prone RBs in the NFL. Akers had a horrific injury last offseason and even though he came back faster than anyone expected, he was a shell of himself from his rookie year. Henderson played well with Akers hurt last year, but he usually breaks down when given a bigger role. Even right now, both Akers and Henderson have soft tissue injuries and the season hasn’t even started. If Williams can beat out Funk as the RB3 on the season, he could be tossed in for a lead back role when/if Akers and Henderson go down. No harm, no foul! (Scott Miln)

Terrace Marshall, WR

CMON MAN. I put $100 bucks on Marshall to win rookie of the year last year, and may have been quoted saying he “was the best shot in [last year’s] draft class to produce a Justin Jefferson”. So yeah… I missed on that. But I’m taking him as a dart throw this year, as he should still be on the field, he is still with the coaching staff that drafted him, and he has been open that not having a training camp delayed his ability to pick up the offense and this year he is feeling much more ready to contribute some meaningful snaps. If you need a throw-in player to take a Hail Mary on at the end of your draft, you could do worse than Marshall. (Cory Dows)

Quadree Ollison, RB

It’s time right? Ollison has been on my dynasty roster since his rookie season, somewhat as a joke, but somewhat as a hope that he could steal the job from the nobodies in front of him. Before you bash my head in, I do like Allgeier as well, and I know Patterson has etched himself some respect on the gridiron, but Ollison is the back that has been on the roster for 4 seasons and that is telling in some way. He has earned trust with Arthur Smith and may get the opportunity to lead the team in carries. I definitely would go Ollison over Williams, so long as Allgeier is treated like a 5th round pick.
